Yumoto Fujiya Hotel is one of the easiest hotels to recommend for families staying in Hakone-Yumoto.

The biggest reason is the location.

The hotel is very close to Hakone-Yumoto Station, so it is convenient even when traveling with children, luggage, or grandparents. After checking in, you can easily walk around the shopping street near the station.

Hotel Nanpuso is a good choice for families who want a relaxed ryokan stay in Hakone-Yumoto.

I stayed here with my parents and children on a three-generation family trip, and everyone was very happy with both the hot springs and the meals.

The welcome drink corner was also a nice family-friendly point. Drinks, ice cream, and snacks were available, and the children were very happy.

Tenseien is a good choice for families who want a casual and fun stay.

The property has many things children can enjoy, such as a garden, Tamadare Falls, Tamadare Shrine, koi fish, ducks, buffet meals, and a large hot spring facility. Families can enjoy many things without leaving the hotel, which is helpful on rainy days or when children are tired after sightseeing.

The atmosphere is more casual than a traditional ryokan, so families can relax without worrying too much about formal manners.

Hotel Okada is a great choice for families who want to spend plenty of time enjoying the hotel itself.

The hotel is large, bright, and spacious, with many places where families can relax together. During my visit, the children especially enjoyed the foot bath and the view from the observation terrace. There are also several indoor activities, making it a good option even on rainy days.

With different room types and dining plans to choose from, families can easily find a stay that suits their travel style.

Yoshiike Ryokan is ideal for families who want to experience the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese ryokan.

I have visited Yoshiike many times with my family, and what makes it special is not children’s activities, but the setting itself. The beautiful garden, elegant buildings, and quiet atmosphere make the stay feel like a cultural experience rather than simply a hotel stay.

I think it is especially suitable for older children who can appreciate the beauty and history of a traditional ryokan, as well as for multi-generational family trips.
